Free Crochet Pattern: Crochet Pear

When people think of fall, they tend to think of pumpkins and apples, right? But there is another wonderfully delicious fruit that is ready in the fall here in North America: the pear. (Okay, so some of them start in August, but there are winter pears too).

So, let’s start this fall crochet series with a pear, shall we?

Crochet Pear Pattern

  • MR – Magic ring
  • Sc – single crochet
  • Dc – double crochet
  • Hdc – half double crochet
  • Inc- increase
  • Dec- decrease


  • Worsted weight yarn (Vanna’s choice or RedHeart)
    • Light green, tan/brown
  • Size G (4.0) crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • Stuffing


  1. 7 in magic ring (7)
  2. Inc in all (14)
  3. Sc 1, inc (21)
  4. Sc 2, inc (28)
  5. Sc 3, inc (34)
  6. Sc all – 6 rows (34)
  7. Sc 3, dec (28)
  8. Sc all (28) – stuff
  9. Sc 2, dec (21)
  10. Sc all – 4 rows (21) – stuff
  11. Sc 1, dec (14)
  12. Dec (7)
  13. Switch to tan/brown
  14. Sc until the stem is the desired length
  15. Fasten off and weave in tail
